What a great moment in time for our historical society!

Why, indeed, is it such a great time?

You, the members, have responded generously to the "call" of the Members First Campaign. As most of you are aware, work has begun on the renovations at the Sargeant-Pettit House and our president has announced that our Spring Membership meeting will take place at that very site. How exciting it is to see that work underway and the vision of the new museum taking shape before our eyes. Our program committee continues to entice us with interesting events, guest speakers, and special programs.

While other volunteer organizations may be challenged to maintain an active supportive membership, we are fortunate to have a generous membership base. We could, however, take this opportunity to expand our ranks.

What better time could there possibly be to invite friends, relatives, co-workers, and neighbors to join the society. With all the special opportunities unfolding it would also be an ideal time to consider the gift of membership to someone. The season of graduations and weddings will soon be upon us. With the benefits of membership and the significance of the events before us, we must give others the chance to be a part of history. We're making history right here at home.
